How is the daily toll for passenger vehicles calculated, and what are the exact start and end times for a day? If a passenger vehicle enters the Congestion Relief Zone twice, once during the peak period and once during the overnight period, which toll rate will be applied?
The daily tolling period for the Congestion Relief Zone begins at 12:00 a.m. (midnight) and ends at 11:59 p.m. (just before midnight) each day. If a passenger vehicle or motorcycle makes multiple entries into the Congestion Relief Zone within this time frame, the toll that applies is the one in effect at the time of the first entry. This means that if you enter the zone during the peak period, the peak toll rate will be charged, even if you enter again during the overnight period. Conversely, if your first entry is during the overnight period, the overnight toll rate will apply for the entire day, regardless of any subsequent entries during the peak period.
