If I am driving between New Jersey and the West Side Highway using the Lincoln or Holland Tunnel, will I be charged a toll?

Vehicles traveling between the West Side Highway and New Jersey are subject to a toll if their trip involves using Manhattan streets rather than staying exclusively on highways. 
 
Lincoln Tunnel and Holland Tunnel:

  • Vehicles traveling between the West Side Highway and the Lincoln Tunnel or the Holland Tunnel will be charged a toll because these routes require driving on Manhattan streets, which are within the Congestion Relief Zone.
  • However, vehicles taking these routes receive a crossing credit. This credit is applied against the cost of the congestion pricing toll, reducing the overall toll amount.

Tolling Criteria:

  • The toll is applied based on entry into the designated Congestion Relief Zone. If your route involves entering the tolled zone, you will be charged a toll.
