Which specific areas of Manhattan are subject to the congestion pricing tolls?
Congestion pricing in Manhattan applies to vehicles entering and exiting the Congestion Relief Zone which is the area south of and including 60th Street and excluding FDR Drive, West Street/West Side Highway, or the Hugh L connections to West Street. This zone includes many of Manhattan’s busiest and most congested neighborhoods, such as Midtown and the Financial District. New York State has stated the goal of congestion pricing is to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality, and generate revenue for public transportation improvements.
